AP Maritime Board organised a \"Stakeholder Consultation: Andhra Pradesh’s Maritime, Logistics, and Infrastructure Development - Vision 2047\" meeting on 04 March 2025 in Vijayawada. AP Chambers President Mr. Potluri Bhaskara Rao, Past President Mr. G. Sambasiva Rao, Mr. Velagapudi Sambasiva Rao and Mr. Tarun Kakani participated in the meeting. Mr. Bhaskara Rao suggested bringing down the logistics costs, and development of infrastructure connecting industrial corridors, ports, and airports. Mr. G. Sambasiva Rao highlighted the issues at Visakhapatnam port and suggested measures to improve the functioning of ports. Mr. V. Sambasiva Rao spoke about the higher costs of shipping chillies from Visakhapatnam port. Mr. Tarun Kakani mentioned the need for the completion of Inland Waterways No.4, which can help in reducing transportation costs of cement and other material.
